How to work with rushes / stringouts

To store / view / share your rushes or stringouts use the following procedure:

1. Create the stringout in your editing software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, Avid, Final Cut Pro, etc.)

2. Export an MP4

(Keep it under 2 GB file size. We are working on removing the size limitation)

3. Click "Add a Step” in “Postproduction”.

Depending on your workflow rename this step to for example “Stringout Day 1” or "Rushes Day 1" etc.  (Note: Once created, you cannot delete additional steps at the moment. We will implement the "Delete Step" function in the foreseeable future) 

4. Upload your stringout videofile or your rushes into the new folder by simply dragging and dropping it into the window or use the "Add file" button.

5. Your newly created stringout folder or rushes folder will appear under the existing steps of the  postproduction section.

(Note: You cannot re-arrange the order of the steps) 

6. Select one or more files that you want to share and click the share button.

7. Double click to view the video files and add your comments.
